Germany Power supply certificate-GS

GS power supply refers to the switching power supply with the GS logo that has been tested and verified in accordance with the European Union’s unified standard EN or the German industrial standard DIN based on the German Product Safety Law (GPGS).

The meaning of GS is German “Geprufte Sicherheit” (safety certified), and also “Germany Safety” (Germany Safety). GS certification is a voluntary certification based on the German Product Safety Law (GPGS) and tested in accordance with the EU unified standard EN or the German industrial standard DIN. It is a German safety certification mark recognized in the European market. For the GS test of electrical products, different products are tested in accordance with the corresponding safety standards. Most of the test contents are similar to CE/LVD. Some products are also tested with the safety requirements of Germany, and the requirements are more stringent.

The GS certification mark is applicable to a wide range of products. For electrical products, it includes: home appliances, lamps, audio and video products, communication products, office equipment, power tools, electronic toys, electronic measuring instruments and so on. The GS mark enjoys a high reputation in EU countries and is a favorable factor for improving product grades and market prices.
